Tom Payne

Tom was born in Flatwoods, Kentucky but spent most of his life in TN as the son of a minister. Growing up Tom and his family lived in Christchurch New Zealand and worked to establish a congregation from 1969 – 1973.  Tom graduated from David Lipscomb University where he received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in 1981. He received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Alabama in 1984.

Tom is married to Meg and they have two children Nathan and Emily, who are young adults. Tom worked as a Human Resources professional in both manufacturing and healthcare for approximately ten years but felt a strong leading from the Lord to evangelize and share the gospel full time.

In 1996 he accepted a full-time ministry position in Clarksville, TN as an Involvement and Outreach Minister where he served for six years. He established a jail and a local outreach ministry using World Bible School. That ministry continues to grow to this day.

He currently serves as the full-time minister for the Stroudsville congregation in Adams, TN where he has labored for approximately 15 years. Tom serves as a volunteer Chaplain for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department and a Chaplain for the local hospital in Clarksville.  Tom and Meg have been involved in mission campaigns in Russia, New Zealand, and West Africa; as well as, local outreach efforts through “We Care Ministries”.
